Our oldest son absolutely loves attending Step-by-Step. We love the small class sizes and the loving, caring, feel of the school.  The curriculum is wonderful and true to the Montessori tradition, our son is learning basic reading, writing, and math as well as science, geography, cultural studies, and life skills.  We fully intend to send our other two children to Step-by-Step so that they can also benefit from this exceptional school and staff.

Step-by-Step has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our granddaughter. She came to live with us after going through a very difficult family time period, had not had much experience with other children, and the doctors were worried about her having some developmental delays.  Any new situation, especially with groups of children, had been making her very anxious.  However, the first time we stepped into this school she joined right into circle time AND PARTICIPATED!!!  It was something about the gentle, positive, loving, and accepting atmosphere here.  She loves her teachers, and has made great friends.  At Step-by-Step, learning is most definitely a fun and exciting activity for the children.  In the less than one year she has been attending Step-by-Step she has just blossomed-socially, academically and personally.  She is excited about learning, making great progress, and loves to get up and go to school every morning.  Her doctor is no longer worried about delays of any kind, developmental or otherwise.  We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice for her to attend Step-by-Step.  We only wish that they went further than Kindergarten!

My three children have attended Step BY Step for almost a year now.  On the day of this one year anniversary, we will celebrate it just as we would any other joyous event- balloons and all!  My three transferred from another “learning center” where tearful goodbyes were frequent and growth was minimal.

From day one at Step By Step, it was obvious that my children felt welcomed, nurtured, and challenged.  Their amazing teachers seem tuned-in to each child’s specific strengths and weaknesses and because of this, my kids and I am sure other kids have made unbelievable growth in their communication, pre-academic, self-sufficiency, and social skills.  I have been more than impressed that their teachers obviously believed that a child’s social-emotional development is just as important as their educational development.

Thankfully, my tri arrived with a love of learning and gratefully, Step By Step’s developmentally appropriate and loving environment is one they run to (literally!).

Our son has attended SBSM for over one year now.  We are a return family; our other childe spent three years at the school.  We are very pleased with the school-from the curriculum to the values taught by the teachers.  As with any school the teachers are the key to success.  The primary teachers, Ms. Martha, Ms. Rachel, and Miss Marzi are incredibly patient and knowledgeable.  The kindness and warmth of the school is created by them and it makes SBSM special and stands out from all other schools.  The teachers also create a learning environment that is safe and exciting for the children.  We highly recommend SBSM – we wouldn’t choose any other school for our children.

Our soon to be three-year-old loves his environment as Step By Step Montessori School.  Each day he comes home and is excited to tell us about how much fun he had at school, with his friends, and with his teachers (whom he also says are friends!)  What’s amazing to us is that even though he says all he does at school is “play,” we have been able to see a difference in his ability to count to ten (now he says more groups of numbers in the correct order) and in his ability to recognize letters – we were astounded to know that he could recognize when his name was spelled out on a card! At Step By Step, we feel confident that his age-appropriate emotional and academic development are properly nurtured, supported and reinforced by the wonderful staff.  We highly recommend Step By Step Montessori!

We are very pleased to have started our son at Step-by-Step Montessori.  We immediately noticed that he is thriving there. He runs to give his teachers a hug in the morning when we drop him off.  He is playing and becoming m ore independent in just the way the staff says that they teach the children of the Montessori system.  He has been at this school only three months and we have also noticed that he is picking up more words and is on his way verbally.  We couldn’t be happier with our choice and give a hearty recommendation to anybody considering Step-By-Step Montessori for their child.
